What do you worry about?
Hey there,

Is worry taking up a major part of your mental space and would you like to be able to change it?
On an intellectual level I know worry is pretty much a pointless activity and I would have to say we probably all do it.
Ok so what happens to us when we worry?
Well for me, worry takes over my mental space the most because I can’t see an answer to a problem. I get really stuck in the can’ts and it has a major effect on me, it
- stops me from being present.
- stops me from enjoying life.
- affects my sleep.
- seems to constantly run in the background when attempting to get on with things – a bit like a song track stuck in a certain place.
- affects my relationships because I don’t hear what is being said or what is happening around me.
- It sucks up all of my attention!
Not an ideal way of being for anyone! Does this resonate with you too?
So how do you stop worrying? There are some simple things you can do, like
- be aware – the first thing is to be aware that you are worrying. Just noticing you are worrying can be enough to stop.
- laugh at yourself. Laughter is always good.
- put your attention on helping someone, just for the heck of it. Giving a compliment, making someone smile, any act of kindness (without any expetations in return). It is amazing how this can put things into perspective.
- do this exercise (it comes from a booklet called “ten Actions You Can Do Today To Start Taking Back Your Life” by the author of the Avatar® Materials). I will be sharing more of these over time.

It takes practice to build new skills. Just like learning to drive a car – you start from where your at right now. Eventually you learn and continue to learn and hone your skills and get better and better.
Sometimes though it all just seems overwhelming and nothing you do can shut the worry up! When this happens contact me and I can give you an experience of the Avatar® tools and register you for the next course.
